Basic Rules, TC Lotto
Everything on basic rules for lotto in one place, timings, requirements and what to check first.
What is basic rules?
The basic rules of TC Lotto define how every lotto draw is conducted, how tickets are validated, and how prizes are claimed on tc-lotto.com. Understanding these rules before you play protects your winnings and ensures you never miss a payout deadline. Think of them as the single source of truth that sits above every individual game's terms, if a game-specific rule conflicts with the basic rules, the basic rules take precedence.
At its core, TC Lotto operates on a number-selection model: you pick a set of numbers from a defined range, a draw takes place at a scheduled time, and your prize is determined by how many of your numbers match the drawn numbers. This is structurally similar to state lotteries like Kerala Lottery or Sikkim State Lottery, but TC Lotto runs entirely online through tc-lotto.com, which means faster results, instant lower-tier prize credits, and no need to visit a physical retailer. The rules cover six key areas:
- Ticket eligibility: Only registered, verified accounts on tc-lotto.com can purchase valid lotto tickets. Guest entries are not accepted. Verification requires a valid Indian mobile number and a government-issued ID for KYC.
- Number selection range: Each TC Lotto game specifies its own number pool. For example, the Daily 6/49 game asks you to choose 6 numbers from 1 to 49, while the Weekly Mega game uses a 5/90 format. You must select exactly the required count, no more, no fewer, or the system will not allow checkout.
- Draw schedule: Draws occur at fixed times published on the TC Lotto results page. Daily draws close ticket sales at 20:00 IST; weekly jackpot draws close at 18:00 IST every Saturday. Tickets purchased after the cut-off automatically roll into the next scheduled draw, and a notification is sent to your registered email confirming the new draw date.
- Prize tiers: TC Lotto awards prizes across multiple match levels. Even matching two or three numbers earns a lower-tier prize, so you do not need a jackpot match to win. For the 6/49 format, there are six prize tiers: match 2, match 3, match 4, match 5, match 5 + bonus ball, and match 6 (jackpot).
- Minimum age and jurisdiction: You must be at least 18 years old and playing from a jurisdiction where online lotto participation is permitted. TC Lotto enforces both rules at registration and at withdrawal.
- Claim window: Prizes must be claimed within 60 days of the draw date. Unclaimed prizes are forfeited permanently under TC Lotto policy. This 60-day window is longer than what many state lotteries offer, for comparison, Kerala Lottery prizes on tickets expire in 30 days from the draw date, so TC Lotto gives you twice the time to act.

These rules apply uniformly to every lotto format offered on tc-lotto.com, whether you play a daily draw, a weekly jackpot, or a special event game such as a Diwali or New Year bumper draw. Bookmarking the tc-lotto.com rules page and reviewing it once a season ensures you are always playing with current information.
Basic rules on mobile
TC Lotto is fully optimised for mobile play, and the basic rules remain identical whether you access tc-lotto.com on a desktop or on a smartphone. However, there are mobile-specific points worth knowing before you buy your first lotto ticket on the go. Mobile is the most popular access channel among TC Lotto players in India, particularly in tier-2 and tier-3 cities where smartphone penetration outpaces desktop ownership, so the platform is built mobile-first.
Accessing TC Lotto on mobile
Open your mobile browser, Chrome on Android or Safari on iOS both work, and navigate to tc-lotto.com. No app download is required. The site is a progressive web application (PWA) that loads in under three seconds on a standard 4G connection and under six seconds on 3G. You can save it to your home screen by tapping Add to Home Screen in your browser menu, giving you a shortcut that behaves exactly like a native app, without consuming storage space or requiring Play Store approval.
Funding your account on mobile
TC Lotto accepts all major Indian mobile payment methods. The supported options on mobile are:
- PhonePe: Select UPI at checkout, choose PhonePe as your app, and approve the payment request directly inside PhonePe. Funds appear in your TC Lotto wallet within 60 seconds in most cases.
- Google Pay (GPay): Works identically to PhonePe. Enter your GPay UPI ID at checkout or scan the TC Lotto QR code. GPay transactions are covered by Google's UPI payment guarantee policy.
- BHIM: India's government-backed UPI app is accepted. BHIM is particularly reliable during high-traffic draw periods when third-party UPI apps occasionally experience slowdowns. If PhonePe or GPay shows a pending status for more than 3 minutes, switch to BHIM for your next deposit.
- Net banking: All major Indian banks are supported, including SBI, HDFC, ICICI, Axis, and Kotak. Net banking deposits may take 5 to 10 minutes to reflect versus UPI's near-instant credit.
- Debit card: Visa and RuPay debit cards are accepted. Note that RuPay cards issued by cooperative or regional rural banks may require an OTP sent to your bank-registered mobile number, so keep your phone handy.
Mobile-specific rule reminders
- Session timeouts: For security, TC Lotto automatically logs out inactive mobile sessions after 15 minutes. Always confirm your ticket purchase before locking your screen. If you are logged out mid-purchase, your wallet balance is unaffected, return to My Tickets to check whether the ticket was issued before the session ended.
- Payment verification window: Mobile UPI and net-banking payments must complete within 5 minutes of initiating checkout. If the payment window expires, which can happen when a UPI app hangs, the ticket is released back into the pool and you must restart the purchase. Your wallet is not debited for an expired payment attempt.
- Ticket confirmation: A confirmed ticket displays a unique ticket ID on screen immediately after purchase and is simultaneously sent to your registered email. Screenshot the confirmation or save the email, this is your legal proof of entry under TC Lotto rules and the only document that can be used to raise a dispute.
- Results notifications: Enable browser notifications on mobile to receive draw results the moment they are published. Go to Account → Notifications → Draw Results and toggle on. Chrome on Android supports background push notifications even when the browser is closed; Safari on iOS requires you to have the site saved as a PWA on your home screen for push notifications to work.
- Prize credits on mobile: Lower-tier prizes (below ₹10,000) are credited automatically to your TC Lotto wallet within 30 minutes of the draw. You can check the balance in My Account → Wallet without needing a desktop. From the wallet, you can instantly re-invest in another draw or initiate a bank transfer.
What cannot be done on mobile vs desktop
Large prize withdrawals above ₹50,000 require KYC document uploads, Aadhaar card front and back, PAN card, and a selfie with your ID. TC Lotto recommends completing this on desktop for the best file-upload experience, since mobile camera uploads can produce compressed images that fail the automated document scanner. You can initiate the claim on mobile, but if the upload is rejected, switch to desktop, re-upload the original high-resolution files, and resubmit. Desktop uploads have a significantly lower KYC rejection rate.
Basic rules step by step
Follow these steps exactly to play a lotto game on tc-lotto.com in compliance with all TC Lotto basic rules. Each step is written with the Indian player experience in mind, payment methods, document types, and timing references all reflect Indian standards.

- Register and verify your account. Go to tc-lotto.com and click Sign Up in the top-right corner. Enter your full name (as it appears on your Aadhaar or PAN card), your active email address, and a valid Indian mobile number beginning with +91. You will receive a 6-digit OTP via SMS within 30 seconds. Enter the OTP to activate your account. Without a verified account, tickets cannot be issued and any payment you make will be held in a pending wallet until verification is complete.
- Complete KYC if you plan to withdraw prizes. Basic play requires only mobile verification, but prize withdrawals above ₹1,000 require KYC. Go to My Account → KYC Verification and upload a clear photo of your Aadhaar card (front and back) plus your PAN card. TC Lotto processes KYC within 24 hours on business days. Completing KYC before your first draw means you will not face a withdrawal hold if you win.
- Add funds to your TC Lotto wallet. Navigate to My Account → Deposit. The minimum deposit is ₹50 and the maximum single deposit is ₹1,00,000. Choose your preferred payment method: PhonePe and GPay are fastest (under 60 seconds), BHIM is the most reliable during peak hours, net banking takes 5 to 10 minutes, and RuPay or Visa debit cards are processed in 2 to 3 minutes. Always deposit before the draw cut-off time, not immediately before it, to account for any payment processing delay.
- Choose a lotto game. From the TC Lotto home page, browse the available draws listed in order of upcoming draw time. Each game card shows the draw time in IST, the ticket price (starting from ₹20 per entry), the current jackpot size, and the number format. Select a game that suits your budget. If you are new to lotto, start with a daily draw, ticket prices are lower and you get results within 24 hours, so you learn the process quickly.
- Select your numbers. The ticket grid displays the full number range for your chosen game. Tap each number you want to select; selected numbers highlight in TC Lotto's brand colour. Alternatively, tap Quick Pick to have the system generate a statistically random selection, this is functionally equivalent to choosing your own numbers, since TC Lotto's RNG is certified and unbiased. You can mix: select some numbers manually and fill the rest with Quick Pick. Once you have the required count, the Add to Cart button activates.
- Add multiple entries if desired. TC Lotto allows up to 10 ticket entries per draw per account. Each entry has its own set of numbers and its own ticket ID. Buying multiple entries on different number combinations increases your coverage of the number space and your probability of landing a lower-tier prize, though no strategy eliminates the inherent randomness of a certified RNG draw.
- Review and confirm your ticket. The checkout screen shows your chosen numbers, the draw date and time, the cost per ticket, and the total wallet deduction. Read this carefully, numbers cannot be changed after purchase, and TC Lotto's rules do not permit refunds on confirmed tickets. Tap Confirm Purchase only when you are satisfied with your selection.
- Save your ticket ID. Immediately after confirmation, note the ticket ID displayed on screen. It follows the format TCL-YYYYMMDD-XXXXXXXX. Screenshot it or copy it to a notes app. TC Lotto also emails the ticket ID to your registered address. You will need this ID to raise any dispute, to manually verify results, or to claim a prize if the automatic credit system is delayed.
- Check results after the draw. Visit tc-lotto.com → Results at or after the published draw time. Results are posted within two minutes of the draw closing. Match your ticket numbers against the winning numbers shown. Your account dashboard under My Tickets also displays a colour-coded win or no-win status for each ticket entry within five minutes of results publication.
- Claim your prize within 60 days. Prizes up to credit automatically to your TC Lotto wallet within 30 minutes of the draw. For prizes between ₹10,001 and ₹50,000, go to My Account → Prize Claims, enter your ticket ID, and submit. These are processed within 48 hours. For prizes above ₹50,000, the same process applies but TC Lotto requires completed KYC and may request a video verification call. All claims must be submitted no later than 11:59 PM IST on the 60th day after the draw.
